Morning rain slowed the start of the 34th annual Taste of Bethesda Saturday, but by late morning crowds were moving through Woodmont Triangle for a day of food, live music and community activities.
The annual festival, produced by the Bethesda Urban Partnership, brought more than 50 Bethesda-area restaurants and four stages of entertainment to Norfolk, St. Elmo, Cordell, Del Ray and Auburn avenues. Admission was free, with food tickets sold on-site in bundles of five for $10 and individual servings costing one to four tickets.
Parking was challenging throughout the festival area, where street closures and permit-only areas limited some options. Public parking garages were available nearby, while Bethesda station on Metro’s Red Line was about three blocks from the festival…
