Takoma Park Police are investigating an attempted robbery that left a man with a serious head injury earlier this week.
Officers responded around 7:04pm on April 14 to a reported fight in the parking lot of the Aldi in the 7600 block of New Hampshire Avenue. When they arrived, they found an adult male suffering from a significant head injury.
According to police, the victim said he was attacked by an unknown male and female who attempted to steal his wallet. During the assault, the suspects struck him in the head with an object, causing a serious laceration. The suspects were unable to take the wallet and fled the area on foot…
