As a juvenile curfew zone law expires, DC teens say it should not be renewed

WASHINGTON (7News) — With just hours to go until a law allowing juvenile curfew zones was set to expire – at least for now – a group of teenagers at a town hall event in D.C. said it should expire.

Wednesday evening the nonprofit Black Swan Academy hosted its annual town hall at the R.I.S.E. Center in Southeast, D.C.

Many in the large group of teenagers who participated say the city’s curfew law unfairly criminalizes them for hanging out in groups outside, even when they are not up to any trouble…
