WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — D.C. police said a homicide investigation is underway after a woman was found shot to death in Southeast early Tuesday morning.
Metropolitan Police Department officers initially responded to the 1300 block of Congress Street, SE, for a person reportedly unconscious just before 6:30 a.m.
There, investigators found a woman inside a home with a gunshot wound. She was not conscious or breathing.
