Verdict expected for Bowie police officer accused of shooting toward man on highway

PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. (7News) — A suspended Bowie, Maryland, police officer is expected to learn his fate on Wednesday after firing a shot while investigating a stopped vehicle on the side of Route 197 (Collington Road) in 2024, according to Prince George’s County State’s Attorney’s Office officials.

Robert Warrington is set to learn his verdict on charges of attempted second-degree murder, first-degree assault, reckless endangerment, and misconduct in office after the trial resumes at 9:30 a.m. in Upper Marlboro.
