Takoma Park-based Soko Butcher Shop & Market is opening its new Leesburg location this week as chef-owner Brad Feickert expands the popular cheesesteak and sandwich shop into Northern Virginia.
We previously reported in March that Feickert, who is a Purcellville native, had taken over the former La Taqueria taco shop at 15 Loudoun Street SE in the Leesburg Historic District, with plans to open in the spring.
Feickert announced on Instagram last week that the new location will open at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 22, and followed up on Wednesday night with a “2 Days Leesburg” countdown graphic.
Soko first opened in Takoma Park in 2022 and has since developed a cult following for Soko’s cheesesteaks and deli sandwiches, as well as for high-quality, locally sourced meats, house-made sausages, pastrami, bacon, and bone broths…
