Boca Raton
U.S. 1 Lane Repurposing, Camino Real to NE 8th Street
The $6.3 million downtown rebuild started August 20. It kills the 11-foot outside lane between Camino Real and SE Mizner Boulevard to make room for 7-foot separated bike lanes and 11-foot sidewalks, adds a signalized mid-block crosswalk south of Plaza Real, and puts a second northbound left-turn lane at Camino Real. Completion is late 2027. This week:
- Northbound and southbound U.S. 1 between SE 8th Street and SE 5th Street/Mizner Boulevard have the inside lanes closed continuously through Sunday, Sept. 13, for widening.
- One northbound and one southbound lane at U.S. 1 and Camino Real close intermittently, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday, Aug. 31 through Thursday, Sept. 3, for signalization work.
- One lane closes intermittently between Camino Real and NE 8th Street/NE Mizner Boulevard, 7:30 p.m. to 5 a.m., Monday, Aug. 31 through Friday morning, Sept. 4, for tree relocation.

Delray Beach And West Delray
Atlantic Avenue Reconstruction, U.S. 441 to the Turnpike
The $26 million widening began in January 2025 and runs through summer 2028. Atlantic goes from two lanes to four west of Lyons, and from four to six between Lyons and the Turnpike. Most of this week is final striping, which means daytime lane closures.
U.S. 441/S.R. 7 impacts, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Thursday:
- One northbound lane from Rio Grande Avenue to just south of Atlantic Avenue.
- One northbound lane from just north of Atlantic Avenue to Tivoli Isles Boulevard.
- One southbound lane from Tivoli Isles Boulevard to just north of Atlantic Avenue.
- One southbound lane from just south of Atlantic Avenue to just south of 105th Drive South.
- One eastbound turn lane on Atlantic Avenue from the Wawa back entrance to S.R. 7/U.S. 441, for signalization.
- The northbound sidewalk between Atlantic Avenue and Saturnia Isles Boulevard is closed. Pedestrians are detoured to the southbound sidewalk. Motorists exiting Rio Grande are directed south.
Atlantic Avenue impacts, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Thursday:
- One eastbound lane from Lyons Road to the Turnpike.
- One westbound lane from Lyons Road to the Turnpike.
- One lane in each direction between U.S. 441/S.R. 7 and Lyons Road.
Smith Sundy Road: One lane in each direction between the Storage Zone gate and Atlantic Avenue, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Flaggers will direct traffic.

Boynton Beach
I-95 At Boynton Beach Boulevard Interchange
This is the big one. The $64 million interchange project runs 2.354 miles and does not finish until early 2029. It widens the Boynton Beach Boulevard bridge over I-95 for dual left turns, adds ramp turn lanes, adds a third westbound through lane at the interchange, and rebuilds sidewalks, lighting and signals from Old Boynton Road to NW 3rd Avenue…
