Bodycam shows officers racing door-to-door as fire erupts; dog rescued

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — Body camera video shows West Palm Beach police officers wasting no time when they were first on the scene of a residential fire on April 13, immediately going door to door to get neighbors out safely.

Officers arrived before fire crews and quickly assessed the risk to nearby homes. The video captures patrol officers alerting residents, helping clear the area, and making sure no one was inside homes close to the fire. Police later confirmed the house where the fire started was unoccupied at the time.
