Former treasurer of El Dorado High School booster club pleads guilty to theft

EL DORADO, Kan. (KWCH) – The former treasurer of a booster club in El Dorado has pleaded guilty to three counts of felony theft.

Lori Christy entered the plea agreement on Tuesday. She was the treasurer for the El Dorado High School Booster Club. The prosecutor said that in 2025, she stole most of the club’s money that was intended to support sports and activities for students.

Christy has paid $30,000 in restitution. Her defense said that Christy will pay the remaining balance of more than $57,000 by the date of her sentencing, which is scheduled for the end of August…
