Wichita teachers, school district still without contract weeks before school starts

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – Wichita teachers are at odds with the district amid rising costs in the classroom, students growing more unruly and not enough hours in the day to grade papers and prepare lessons.

With just over two weeks until the first day of school, Wichita teachers do not have an updated contract with the school district, and both sides remain far apart on several issues.
