WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – It is a comfortable morning across Kansas with wake-up temperatures in the 60s, but hotter weather returns later today. Underneath mainly sunny skies, temperatures will top out in the middle to upper 90s or a few degrees above average for early August.
After a warmer night in the 70s, temperatures will trend higher on Tuesday with highs in the upper 90s to around 100 degrees. However, the humidity will remain on the low side so feels like temps won’t be a concern.
A frontal boundary will move into the northwest corner of the state on Tuesday night setting the stage for some showers and storms. Additional activity is possible across central and southern Kansas on Wednesday and Thursday, but neither heavy rain nor widespread severe weather is anticipated…
