WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) — The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of a 42-year-old inmate who died Wednesday.
The sheriff’s office said the woman’s death comes six days after a suicide attempt at the Sedgwick County Adult Detention Facility.
“The inmate was placed on life support after she was admitted to the hospital,” the sheriff’s office said. “Her family had the opportunity to visit her and participate in medical decisions. At her family’s request, life support was discontinued Wednesday, and she was pronounced dead at 3:59 p.m.”…
