My husband called me from the parking lot of the Lowe’s at Maple and Ridge on Monday morning sounding a bit frantic. He’d gone to pick up a tool but had found himself stuck in the parking lot, unable to exit.
“Something,” he said gravely “is going on at 7 Brew.”
Because I doubt Travis was the only Wichitan who noticed crazy long lines snaking into Wichita 7 Brew drive-through coffee shops — often backing traffic up onto surrounding streets — I thought I’d let you know what the commotion was all about.
The five 7 Brew stores in Wichita — and across the country — put on a “Jackpot Day” promotion on the 7th of every month from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. During this time, they give away, with purchase, promotional items like stickers, rubber ducks or keychains.
The September giveaway was a limited edition “7 Brew Doh” squishy toy. Basically, they’re 7 Brew’s glittery version of the NeeDoh cubes all the kids had to have last Christmas. People who purchased any two medium or large drinks on Monday earned a squishy. And apparently, people really wanted those squishies…
