Police: Mustang clocked at 106 mph before east Wichita crash

WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) – Wichita police say a car was going over 100 mph before it crashed, sending the driver to the hospital with critical injuries. The crash happened at around 11:20 p.m. on the Rock Road bridge over Kellogg. Sgt. Ted Naldoza said a Sedgwick County deputy was on a car stop at 13th and Rock when the Ford Mustang flew by going around 100 mph. That call went out over the radio, and a moment later a Wichita police officer clocked the car at 106 mph at Douglas and Rock.
