Wichita City Council approves major overhaul of public transit system

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – The Wichita City Council voted unanimously on Tuesday to overhaul the city’s public transit system.

This overhaul will move routes from the transit center in downtown Wichita on Topeka Street to the new multi-modal transportation hub in Delano. The new building has been under construction for the past year and will be the heart of the city’s bus system.

The hub will also bring the city bike share program and e-scooter rentals under the same roof, so it’s easier to access every mode of transportation…
