Wet weather returns on Wednesday

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – Monday night storms have exited the area, and the day ahead looks quiet, albeit breezy and much cooler. After warming into the upper 80s and lower 90s yesterday, today will be over 25 degrees cooler with highs in the lower to middle 60s.

A slow-moving storm system will impact the area Wednesday night through Friday. While several rounds of showers and storms – some with heavy rainfall – are likely, severe weather is not expected. Clouds will keep temperatures on the cool side for late May with highs generally in the upper 60s and lower 70s.

The overall weather pattern should quiet down into the upcoming holiday weekend. While it probably won’t be completely dry, any storm chances are on the low side, and temperatures will trend higher with highs mainly in the 80s…
