Delaware State Police are looking into an armed robbery that took place in the early hours of Thursday morning at a Claymont gas station.
At around 2:15 a.m. on August 13, 2026, troopers were called to the Wawa at 601 Naamans Road in Claymont after a robbery was reported. According to the preliminary investigation, four masked individuals — two of them carrying handguns — walked up to two people who were pumping gas and demanded their belongings. The victims handed over their property, and the suspects then fled the scene on foot. Neither victim suffered any physical injuries.
The Delaware State Police Criminal Investigations Unit has since taken charge of the investigation. Detectives are asking anyone with information to reach out to Detective D.
