The Wilmington Fire Department is being bolstered by 30 new firefighters/EMTs who graduated from their recruit academy this week.
Including 12 new positions, the Wilmington Fire Department’s uniformed staff increases to 198 members, a count which has been expanding since introducing EMT service into the department, when it had previously been outsourced.
