A $58 million inpatient rehabilitation hospital has officially replaced the old Concordville Inn in Glen Mills, as Encompass Health cut the ribbon Wednesday on a new 50-bed facility. The two-story hospital sits along Baltimore Pike near Route 322, taking over the longtime tavern and event center that once anchored the village. Company officials say the center will treat patients recovering from strokes, brain and spinal cord injuries, amputations and complex orthopedic conditions. Officials expect the hospital to begin admitting patients in early May.
