Wilmington Christian Academy lockdown lifted after gunfire in nearby neighborhood

KINGS GRANT, N.C. (WECT) – Wilmington Christian Academy was placed in secure mode Monday after shots were fired in a nearby neighborhood, according to the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office (NHCSO).

A man was arrested around 3 p.m. after discharging a weapon at a home on Noland Drive, NHCSO said.

No injuries were reported. The school was released from lockdown after the incident was resolved…
