Former Brunswick Co. resident facing federal charges for threatening immigration officials

FORSYTH COUNTY, N.C. (WECT) – A former Brunswick County resident is facing federal charges following an arrest Friday.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Richard David Warren, 61, was arrested on May 8 for allegedly mailing threatening letters to two United States immigration enforcement officials in June 2025.

In the letters, he allegedly threatened to kill the officials and also threatened to kill the family of one official and blow up and burn down the house of the other, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said…
