Massachusetts Takedown: 26 Trinitarios Gang Members Indicted On RICO: Five Murders, Drug Trafficking, Violent Crimes

BOSTON — Federal authorities today announced the indictment of 26 alleged leaders, members, and associates of the violent Trinitarios gang on federal racketeering (RICO) conspiracy charges in Massachusetts. The charges connect the defendants to five murders, 19 attempted murders, drug trafficking, extortion, kidnapping, robbery, and firearms offenses across Massachusetts and Maine.

Homeland Security Investigations agents executed eight federal search warrants and arrested 24 individuals as part of the operation. This brings the total to 56 Trinitarios members charged by the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Massachusetts over the past two years, significantly disrupting the gang’s leadership and operations in the region. Seven additional members face deportation proceedings.
