SHREWSBURY – Five months after weathering an attack, the Shrewsbury Police Department on May 21 honored those who ensured that, even during a time of crisis, the town was protected.
A man driving a black 2022 BMW SUV intentionally plowed the vehicle into the front of the Shrewsbury Police Station on January 19 at around 2:02 p.m., damaging the $42 million building. The operator, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, is currently in custody.
Three dispatchers were close to the collision, which broke through two pylons, two sets of doors, and the door to dispatch, where Christopher DaSilva, David Lawson, and Caitlin Mroczek were on duty.
