Carbone’s sign to join collection at Historical Society
A piece of Carbone’s Restaurant will live on in Hopkinton with the addition of the restaurant’s iconic sign to the collection at the Hopkinton Historical Society.
“They were in business for 93 years,” said Historical Society vice president Aubrey Doyle. “It’s something that we wanted to keep for people to look at in the future.”
Doyle said one half of the A-frame sign has joined the Historical Society’s collection at its Hayden Rowe Street location.There are plans to mount it and display it with other historical signs such as those for Collella’s Supermarket, Hopkinton’s old savings bank, Averill Paint and the Hopkinton Grange.
