WORCESTER – UMass Memorial Medical Center – Marlborough Campus, part of UMass Memorial Health, announced it had received a $125,000 gift from St. Mary’s Credit Union (SMCU). This funding, spread evenly over the five years from 2026 to 2030, will directly support the expansion and renovation of the campus emergency department.
“St. Mary’s Credit Union is a valuable and longtime supporter of UMass Memorial Medical Center – Marlborough Campus,” said Justin Precourt, president of UMass Memorial Medical Center. “This $125,000 gift will help us continue to prioritize the health and well-being of our shared community.”
The planned renovation and expansion will help the hospital meet increasing demand and reduce wait times by nearly doubling the number of patient rooms from 13 to 23. The project will also include new patient treatment rooms, rooms designed for individuals of size, and two new trauma rooms.
