According to organizers, the Dominican Festival set for 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sept. 5 at Institute Park will be the first of its kind in Worcester.
“We thought it was overdue because Dominican culture has grown so much,” said Delio Fernandez of Casa Cultural Dominicana de Worcester, which is presenting the event.
But while celebrating the culture of the Dominican Republic, organizers also want the festival to embrace all the cultures in the Worcester area…
