B’nai Shalom congregation members find new perspective in Central Europe

WESTBOROUGH — On April 19, 23 members of Westborough’s Congregation B’nai Shalom found themselves in Warsaw, Poland. Walking around the various monuments in the city, the travelers couldn’t help but notice yellow daffodils strewn about, and those same flowers seemingly pinned to almost every resident.

They were surprised to learn it was Poland’s national memorial day remembering the Jewish people who fought back against the Nazis in the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising.
