A dog trapped in a hot car died while its owner spent an hour in a Walmart on the Northeast Side, the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office said.
Just after 9:15 p.m. on June 18, deputies went to a Walmart in the 4000 block of North Foster Road in response to reports that a dog had been left in a car.
When deputies arrived, bystanders had taken the dog out of the car. They tried to cool the animal with water and ice, but it died at the scene, Sheriff Javier Salazar said in a video posted on the sheriff’s office Facebook page…
