BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Karim Reyad, the one-armed motorist accused of driving at high speed while impaired by marijuana in a crash that killed a Bakersfield grandmother, was sentenced Thursday to eight years in prison after pleading no contest to gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated.
As Reyad sat by defense attorney H.A. Sala, several family members of victim Gayla Sue Price addressed the court, speaking with emotion of their loss.
