MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — The Mobile Police Department assisted the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office in responding to a report of a suspicious device found in Fairhope, News 5 has learned.

According to an MPD news release, Baldwin County deputies requested assistance from officers after finding an unusual item — a milk jug with a hole poked in the cap and something protruding from that hole — in the parking lot at the Pelican Point Boat Launch on County Road 1 in Fairhope.
Deputies called the MPD’s Explosive Ordnance Disposal unit, which identified fuel inside the milk jug.
“We don’t have any information that anyone was trying to do anything illegal or harmful, (it was) just sitting in the middle of the asphalt,” BCSO Capt. Justin Correa said…
