From bacon cinnamon rolls to monster trucks, the Modesto Bee interns experienced all the Stanislaus County Fair had to offer Thursday night.
Our night started on a sweet note at The Cinnamon Roll Shop. Neither of us had ever heard of a maple bacon cinnamon roll, so we were intrigued when we saw it on the menu.
We ordered, and were presented with a hefty roll smothered in frosting and juicy bacon bits. The sweetness was overwhelming, but the bacon’s saltiness cut through and created a nice balance. We were surprised at how well the foods went together…
