Heat Advisory: Twin Cities could topple 100-degree heat index again Monday

The heat is sticking around. For one more day at least.

A Heat Advisory runs from noon until 6:00 p.m. Monday night across much of southern Minnesota, including the Twin Cities.

“We’ve had nine consecutive days with highs in the 90s,” says WCCO-TV chief meteorologist Chris Shaffer. “Today, if we reach it and I think we will, we will be the 10th, which will be the third longest streak of 90-degree days in over 150 years.”…
