The City of Surprise invites residents to roll up their sleeves and give back during a special Day of Service meal-packing event in partnership with Meals of Hope and the Rotary Club of Surprise and Sun City West. Join us Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 9 a.m. to noon at Ottawa University’s Faith Arena Lobby, 14470 W. Tierra Buena Ln.
Volunteers will help pack 25,000 meals to support Valley View Community Food Bank and directly help serve local individuals and families facing food insecurity. All the meals packed during the event will stay right here in our community.
This high-energy, family-friendly event is open to individuals aged 14 and older. There are a variety of simple yet impactful volunteer roles, including pouring ingredients, sealing and labeling meal bags, and boxing up completed meals. No prior experience is necessary, just a heart to help!
