If you live in New Orleans and have any sort of social media presence at all, you’ve probably seen the video of 7-year-old Canan Cutler flying past Pal’s Lounge while standing on his blue and green Concord bike.
The fearless child cyclist found his way to internet stardom back in April, when a crowd outside the Bayou St. John bar cheered him on as he performed the trick he’s been working on since he was just 6 years old.
Among the lucky patrons at Pal’s that evening was influencer Aubrey Allison, known online as @aubreyavocado. She pulled out her phone and filmed as Canan placed one foot on his bike’s seat, the other on its frame, and bravely stood while barreling down St. Philip Street with one hand in the air.
