“I’m excited to be able to offer this option to my patients,” says Dr. Chandra Spring-Robinson, who performed the milestone procedure — an advanced robotic excision of endometriosis utilizing the da Vinci Xi surgical system. “I’ve had the privilege of helping more than 1,500 women through robotic minimally invasive surgery, many of whom were living with complex endometriosis. My surgical philosophy is simple — ‘No Endometriosis Left Behind.’ It reflects my commitment to meticulous excision of disease and individualized care for every woman. Sharp’s ability to offer advanced robotic surgery across its hospitals and now Sharp Carlsbad Surgery Center allows us to individualize not only the procedure, but also the care environment. Every woman deserves the highest quality surgical care in the setting that’s best for her.”
