Alabaster Jar Project Golf Tournament: Entering its ninth year, this event benefits the titular group, a non-profit that provides “long-term housing and comprehensive support for survivors of human trafficking and sexual exploitation.” The tournament will be held on the golf course at the Rancho Bernardo Inn (17550 Bernardo Oaks Drive) Registration begins at 10 a.m. – the cost is $190 for an individual and $700 for a four-person team – with gameplay following three hours later.
Creating With Care at MCASD: The Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego in La Jolla (650 S. Coast Blvd.) hosts this conversation from 5-7 p.m. moderated by Mashonda Tifrere, who has not only curated 50 different exhibitions in the past 10 years, but founded ArtLeadHer and Art Genesis, two groups dedicated to platforming women as artists. Joining Tifrere for this discussion are artists Kenturah Davis, Rugiyatou Ylva Jallow and Sasha Koozel Reibstein.
