Alpharetta, Georgia – For years, drivers on SR 400 have measured their trips in brake lights, bottlenecks and the unpredictable crawl through North Fulton. Now, the next phase of a massive corridor project is becoming harder to miss.
Construction on the SR 400 Express Lanes project is spreading into new areas, bringing more crews, equipment and traffic changes to Alpharetta. The work is part of a 16-mile project running from the North Springs MARTA Station to just north of McFarland Parkway.
Because of the project’s size, the corridor has been divided into separate construction segments. Each segment is moving at a different pace, allowing crews to focus on clearing land, grading, relocating utilities and preparing the roadway for larger construction work…
