RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) – Richmond health officials are warning residents after two animals tested positive for rabies in the city this week.
Richmond Animal Care and Control (RACC) was notified Sunday, July 19, that a fox attacked a dog near the 8000 block of Charlise Road in the Stratford Hills area. The following day, RACC was notified that a raccoon was displaying aggressive behavior toward people near the 300 block of North 25th Street in Church Hill. The raccoon also interacted with a dog in that area.
Both animals were collected by RACC and submitted for testing. Both returned positive results for rabies…
