The Monroe Public Safety Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect in a burglary and vandalism case that happened at Baker’s Gas and Ace Hardware, 905 North Dixie Hwy. on Tuesday, July 28.
According to the Monroe Public Safety Department, the suspect entered the property at 7 p.m., stayed on the premises for more than three hours, entered dozens of work vehicles, caused significant damage, stole property, and stole a company Ford F-150 work truck. Officers later found the stolen truck in downtown Monroe.
Surveillance images show the suspect as a white man wearing a dark shirt, dark pants, a gray-and-black hat, sunglasses, and white shoes with green accents. Investigators also believe the suspect has a sleeve tattoo on at least one arm.
