5 arrested, drugs and stolen property found in ‘quality of life’ operation, deputies say

BUNCOMBE COUNTY, N.C. (WLOS) — Five people were arrested at a Buncombe County home as part of a “quality of life” operation fueled by community complaints.

The Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) said its Community Oriented Policing (COPS) team recently executed a warrant at 4 Coffey Circle, also known as 135 Stradley Mountain Road, after receiving tips from the community.

Deputies said five people with multiple active felony warrants were found at the home, along with 20.5 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, methamphetamine, a stolen motorcycle, multiple stolen driver’s licenses and Social Security cards, and a notary stamp…
