As a resident of Charleston, SC I do not support the early release of Michael Slager. I believe he should serve the full sentence handed down to him for the murder of Walter Scott.
The good behavior program Michael Slager participated in while in prison, which allows for him to move into a half way house in Ocala, FL,is not available to violent offenders. Michael Slager was charged with a civil rights violation rather than murder, which is the only reason he was able to move within the justice system in this manner.
This same luxury would not be afforded to any other inmate with a violent-natured conviction, but because he was Law Enforcement, he has received special privileges…
