PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — The officer involved in a deadly shooting in Prince George’s County, and the man who was killed, have both been identified.
On Friday, July 31, officers responded to reports of a shooting and a man walking with a gun at Fort Washington Park. An officer encountered a man by the river. According to Maryland-National Capital Park Police, the man pulled out the gun right before the officer shot and killed him.

The man killed was identified as 30-year-old Alex Charles.
