HIAWATHA, Iowa (KCRG) – Developers and city leaders broke ground Wednesday on the first phase of “The Core of Hiawatha,” a mixed-use development in what the city calls its downtown district.
The four-story building will be constructed at the corner of Robins Road and Faye Street. The upper three floors will include 39 apartments, while the ground floor will serve as commercial space for businesses and restaurants.
