BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — East Baton Rouge Parish District Attorney Hillar Moore and challenger Ryan Thompson officially entered the race Wednesday, presenting voters with different visions for the parish’s top prosecutor.
Moore is seeking another six-year term. He is focused on securing more funding for the district attorney’s office while continuing to address violent crime and serve residents across the parish.
“Well, first of all, it’s going to be serving the public and serving all of the public and facing the violent crime that we have, like every other city has,” Moore said. “But also keeping up with the finances. This office has to be in a better shape financially to properly serve the people.”…
