The corruption case against LaMont Cole centers on text messages between the former Metro Council member and current school superintendent and a city-parish contractor who is his close friend, court records show.
Texts sent to and from Cole show he “agreed to accept bribes” from his friend, Terral “TJ” Jackson, in exchange for steering contracts to Jackson, according to an arrest warrant issued Wednesday.
