ONEIDA COUNTY, N.Y. — An unhoused man has been arrested by the City of Oneida Police Department for allegedly raping a child under the age of 13 in a homeless encampment.
Izaya J. Miles, 21, was arrested on Tuesday, following a joint investigation by the department and the Madison County Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT). According to investigators, Miles allegedly knew the victim before the assault occurred and is also accused of providing alcohol to other minors.
Miles currently faces several charges, including:
- Two Counts of Rape in the First Degree
- Endangering the Welfare of a Child
- Unlawfully Dealing with a Child
He was arraigned in Oneida City Court and has been remanded to Madison County Jail on a $50,000 cash bail, $100,000 bond or $250,000 partially secured bond…
