SYRACUSE, N.Y. — ‘Get Smashed,’ formerly a ghost kitchen, is now building a shop of their own. The business has a cult-following; when they operated as a ghost kitchen, the doors would open at 6:00 on Friday and Saturday nights. People would submit their orders until Ryan MacCammon’s team was out of stock.
We’ve been doing this as a pop-up for a couple years now, and being able to bring this to fruition is it’s just so exciting to me.
The new spot is located at 2601 James Street in Syracuse, formerly “Lee’s Garden,” an Eastwood staple for about 25 years. For now, the business will announce pop ups near their new James St. location on social media (weather permitting). Usually, they pitch a tent and fire up the grill on the weekends from lunchtime until the early evening.
On the pop-up menu sits a variety of options, all on a Wagyu patty and a brioche bun. This weekend, MacCammon and his team are bringing pierogis back to the menu. Right now, MacCammon is looking for community support to finish the job…
