Portion of Liberty Street to be named after Troy veterans club

TROY — The Ciccarelli Rea Agars Bevevino, or C.R.A.B., Garrison — a fixture in Troy since 1954 — will receive a special honor for its service to community veterans over the past 72 years.

Later this month, a portion of Liberty Street, where the nonprofit’s clubhouse resides, will become known as C.R.A.B. Garrison Way in recognition of the group’s impact.

The Troy City Council authorized the renaming on July 23, noting the group’s growth over the years from about 15 veterans to “a thriving organization” of more than 400 members…
