Rockford truck driver facing long recovery after violent attack at Illinois truck stop

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — A Rockford-area truck driver is recovering from serious injuries after his employer says he was the victim of a violent attack while making a stop in central Illinois.

Meiborg Companies, a trucking company based in Rockford, shared a Facebook post Monday identifying the driver as Corey Clayton and asking the community to support him during his recovery.
