CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Two roads in the Town of Clifton Park have reopened after being closed for more than a week following heavy rain and flooding. The Clifton Park Highway Department has reopened Carlton and Moe Roads to traffic.

According to Town Highway Superintendent Dahn Bull, Moe Road is still an active construction site, but is open to traffic. In coordination with the Saratoga County Sewer District #1, the construction area remains unpaved, but open for travel.
The sewer district has requested that the area remain open for several weeks before paving operation commence. While Moe Road is open, the highway department asks residents and travelers to drive through the area slowly and cautiously.
The portion of Moe Road originally closed on July 30 after a culvert was washed out due to heavy rain. The road was closed just south of the Clifton Park Halfmoon Library and impassable, according to the highway department.

Carlton Road has also reopened to traffic after being temporarily closed beginning July 30. The closure was due to a sizable water main break that caused severe damage to the road. The water from the break also caused significant erosion resulting in downslope conditions in the area.
